Dear Parents and Students of the Class of 2020,

I wanted to take this opportunity to update you on a few items related to graduation credits and senior activities:

  • Senior Counselor, Dr. Vicky Roller, has sent an email out to each senior on their school accounts notifying them of their status toward graduation.
    • Many Seniors have completed their graduation requirements. The remaining students are working on improving grades to a passing level and/or completing online coursework by the official June graduation date.
    • Students should check their school email to ensure they have accurate information.
    • Seniors not completed by April 30th, will have a written plan sent home in the mail and parent contact.
  • NHS has received fantastic ideas regarding ways to celebrate the Class of 2020.
    • The District is looking at alternative dates for a Graduation Ceremony TBA and NHS also plans to celebrate the class in other ways.
    • The Senior Sign is in the works! Amelia is working on painting the design that seniors voted on; it is a beautiful design and we will develop a plan for signatures.
    • Yard Signs have been ordered as a gift for every senior! Sample signs are included.
    • Murphy will be sending out a survey soon for seniors to nominate songs for the class song.
    • A make-up date for Cap & Gown photos will released soon.

Seniors-please check your school email regularly for senior information. Take care, we miss you and Go Cubs!

Sincerely,

Reyna Mattson
