Hey Cubs, this is the last week to sign up to audition for the NHS Talent Show, sign-ups end April 30th at 4 pm. Auditions will be on May 2-3. Sign-up, so we can see which Cubs have talent!

Grad cap and gown photo retakes are on Saturday May 4th, at Cohen and Park Studio from 12:00-2:00.

Are you bilingual and at least 16 years old?  You have 2 opportunities to spend a day at sea on the OSU research vessel helping scientists.  Join us on either Monday, May 13th or Wednesday, May 15th to have a great day on the ocean.  Get permission packets from Ms. Krutzikowsky in W19. First come, first serve, space is limited. Bus leaves at 8 am and returns by 5 p.m.

We are invited to the cultural event, Conexiones, happening on Friday, May 17th at Western Oregon University! This event is in collaboration with their Multicultural Student Union’s Nuestra Fiesta Latina, which you will have the chance to experience by attending this event!  Conexiones offers engaging sessions where you can connect with our WOU community, explore our campus, and participate in interactive activities. In addition, Representative Nathan Sosa will be the keynote speaker for the event. This is a no school day, bus will leave at 7:45 a.m. and return at 5 p.m.  Get permission slips from Ms. K in W-19.  Space is limited, first come, first served.

Juniors & Seniors are you interested in attending Southwestern Oregon Community College?  Come to the ASPIRE center today during 6th period for a presentation by a SWOCC admissions representative.

May 3rd Friday Portland State University College Rep Visit in the ASPIRE center 6th period.

Attention Cubs! The Newport Visual Arts Center has invited all Lincoln County School District High School students to submit art for a show celebrating your creativity. This show is for 2-dimensional pieces. This means that it should hang flat on a wall. It should fit in an area no larger than 11×14 inches. For example, it can be a painting, drawing, photograph, or digital design. When you submit the piece, it should be ready to hang. This means that it should be matted or in a frame. Please bring the piece to Mr. Carlsen’s room (E52) to submit. When you deliver it, you must fill out a card with your name, the school you attend, and your grade. All submissions must be brought to Mr. Carlsen by the end of the school day, April 30th. If you have any questions, please talk with Mr. Carlsen.

Students, are you be interested in ziplining, white-water rafting and enjoying hot springs in Costa Rica for spring break 2025? If so, there will be an informational meeting tomorrow at 6pm in the Boone Center. Hope to see you there!

Any 9 through 11 graders wishing to run for class office positions, you need to pick up a petition form from the main office or Mr. Scarberry.  They need to be turned into Mr. Scarberry by 4/24 at 4pm.  Speeches and elections will take place during Homeroom on 4/26.

Seniors, the deadline for the senior confessions for Harbor light are now due on Wednesday the 24th. Please submit them to Ms. Murphy’s room ASAP!

Newport Interact Club will have a meeting today at lunch to finish up our work on the clothing exchange. The clothing exchange is an event where anyone can come to get free clothes. The exchange will be happening tomorrow in the east campus commons, hope to see you there!

Hey Cubs, do you have talent? Do you sing, dance, play an instrument, tell jokes, lip sync, etc.? We want you! The NHS Talent Show will be on Tuesday, May 21, but auditions will be in the first week of May….
