Dear Parents/Guardians, Staff, and Community,
Here is a short update on what’s happening in our District as we continue to impart Distance Learning and think about plans for all we need to accomplish before the end of the school year 19-20.
ENDING DATE FOR STUDENTS. One change is with regard to the actual date school is ending. Rather than ending as originally calendared on Tuesday, June 9, we will instead plan to end our Distance Learning for All on Friday, June 5. Teachers are done the same as usual June 10. This will provide the staff much needed time to complete their end of the year reporting about each student such that when we begin again in the Fall we are ready to meet each child where they are.
MEALS ON THE BUS. The bus delivery for meals will continue until Tuesday, June 9. After that time, it will switch to a summer meal program with details to be released shortly. We are committed to keeping our children fed. I hope you all saw that there will also be money coming through EBT supplied by DHS that you do not need to apply for – these benefits will be either added on to your Oregon Trail cards OR in your mail if you are not already receiving SNAP benefits.
DISTANCE LEARNING PLAN. Next Monday, students will be receiving two packets to take out through the end of the school year for the Distance Learning Plan. On each school website and the District website you will find our SEALS packets updated each Monday and a new link for Community Partner Educational Enrichment Activities. GRADUATION SURVEY RESULTS. June 6 every high school will be honoring our graduates with a variation of a ceremony that is unique to their school (based on the graduation survey results for each area the majority wanted an in person ceremony at a later date but the Governor’s last Executive Order will not allow large venue events until at least Oct.1) with the hope of doing a regular ceremony sometime in the fall.

Aquí hay una breve actualización de lo que está sucediendo en nuestro Distrito a medida que continuamos impartiendo Educación a Distancia y pensamos en planes para todo lo que necesitamos lograr antes del final del año escolar 19-20.
FECHA FINAL PARA ESTUDIANTES. Un cambio es con respecto a la fecha real de finalización de la escuela. En lugar de finalizar como estaba originalmente programado el martes 9 de junio, planearemos terminar nuestro aprendizaje a distancia para todos el viernes 5 de junio. Los maestros se hacen de la misma manera que el 10 de junio habitual. Esto proporcionará al personal el tiempo necesario para completar su fin de año informando sobre cada estudiante de tal manera que cuando comencemos nuevamente en el otoño, estemos listos para encontrarnos con cada niño donde están.
COMIDA EN EL AUTOBÚS. Las comidas para la entrega del autobús continuarán hasta el martes 9 de junio. Después de ese tiempo, cambiará a un programa de comidas de verano con detalles que se publicarán en breve. Estamos comprometidos a mantener a nuestros hijos alimentados. Espero que todos hayan visto que también habrá dinero a través de EBT suministrado por DHS que no necesitan solicitar; estos beneficios se agregarán a sus tarjetas Oregon Trail O en su correo si aún no están recibiendo los beneficios de SNAP .
PLAN DE APRENDIZAJE A DISTANCIA. El próximo lunes, los estudiantes recibirán dos paquetes para sacar hasta el final del año escolar para el Plan de Educación a Distancia. En cada sitio web de la escuela y en el sitio web del Distrito, encontrará nuestros paquetes SEALS actualizados cada lunes y un nuevo enlace para las actividades de enriquecimiento educativo de los socios comunitarios. Estos son excelentes para complementar el aprendizaje en las áreas de ciencia, escritura, arte, ingeniería y más.
RESULTADOS DE LA ENCUESTA DE GRADUACIÓN. El 6 de junio, cada escuela secundaria honrará a nuestros graduados con una variación de una ceremonia que es única para su escuela (según los resultados de la encuesta de graduación para cada área, la mayoría quería una ceremonia en persona en una fecha posterior, pero la última Orden Ejecutiva de la Gobernadora). no permita grandes eventos en el lugar hasta al menos el 1 de octubre) con la esperanza de hacer una ceremonia regular en algún momento del otoño.
