Newport High School congratulates Megan Marshall and Cadence Myers as October CTE Students of the Month.

Newport High School offers two Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs, Child Development and Commercial Art.  Each program nominated students for the Quarterly Honor of CTE Students of the Month.

Megan Marshall is a senior at NHS involved in the Child Development CTE Program.  She has taken Family Relations, Prenatal, Infant and Toddler Development, Intro to Teaching, Early Learning Lab and is currently in Preschool Child Development.  She is a conscientious student who goes out of her way to be involved with Cubby Preschool.  She volunteers daily to work before school with the children.

Cadence Myers is a freshman at NHS involved in the Commercial Art CTE Program.  He has shown extreme dedication, determination and hard work.  He is proactive in problem-solving and is unwilling to let any obstacle stop him from continuing his projects and creating very precise and well-crafted products.  He is pictured with one of his pieces.
