Due to ongoing hazards from yesterday's storm, all LCSD schools are closed today, Friday, December 19

All LCSD schools will be on a 2-hour delay tomorrow, Friday, December 19 due to widespread power outages, area flooding, concerns for additional landslides, and a large amount of blocked roads. If we need to cancel tomorrow, will we announce that at 7 a.m. Friday.

All LCSD schools & Charters are CLOSED today, Thursday, December 18 due to continued concerns for transportation safety throughout the day and evening across the county.


There is no school today, December 17th.

Upcoming event

Homeroom classes competed in Socktober during the month of October to collect socks and shoes for students and families in our community in need. Students collected a grand total of 1736 pairs of socks and shoes. In 1st place we have Mr. Herrmann’s homeroom with 565 points. In 2nd place is Ms. Myrick with 490 points. And in 3rd place Mrs. Krutzikowsky’s homeroom has 385 points.




The West Area STEP Transition Program has been growing herbs for NHS and NMS lunch programs. A big thanks to Zach and Trista and Sodexo Nutrition Services for providing this opportunity for our students.
